Change permissions assigned to family and friends
The parent should be able to limit who adds photos or videos, because you may want some people to be able to view and comment but not be able to upload stuff.
We wanted to give you an update on this suggestion and we think we owe you a bit of an apology on this matter. As we have been looking into this further, it seems that we were a little over ambitious with our original estimate of when we might be able to deliver it.
To be honest we have been working really hard and since we became part of the Canon family not everything we have planned to be developed went in accordance to our expectations.
We definitely do want to add this feature and we acknowledge a lot of our users would like to see it built into Lifecake and we can assure you that we’ll get it onto our roadmap, just as soon as we have the time and the resources to build it.
Many thanks for your patience and loyalty.
Ed & the Lifecake Team.
Why has this still not been enabled within the app? Myself and my partner are quite annoyed that other family members (who don't necessarily understand 'dos and don'ts' of social media) are allowed to post pictures of our child without our consent... I presume this could be solved quite easily, but instead we now have to have awkward conversations! Please sort this out.
Can someone give an update on this? It seems like absolutely basic must have functionality. Also I am actually an app developer so not speaking out of turn, or through ignorance when I say that this is basic functionality.
Sorry i see so many reactions on this post that suggest this function is not in. But i uhhh have this since the beginning??? If i go to my contacts i can give permission to upload pictures/comment/make favourites/etc.
Really dont get why some of you seem to not be able to do this??
I can’t believe we’re all still waiting for this THREE YEARS LATER. It’s frustrating when my child’s grandparents constantly post time warp photos to the feed and I have to go in and delete them while trying to not hurt their feelings.
Hi, how about this roadmap now? It's annoying that people can add / remove pics. Why can't you create a "read only" permission level. Sounds like extremely basic to me when programming/developing an app. Thanks for a quick feedback!
For example I want to allow the childs grandparents to add content and comments and not allow certain great grandparents who get confused and add the content of their ipad photos ;)
Is there any update on this? This is a key feature for me.

Progress on this???
Cant let Tom Dick and Harry add fotos, but want to share them with them :)!
still no update? it's been a year already
still waiting for this feature, any updates guys?
A user should not be able to post anything without the parent allowing him to do so. That's basic role and permission management.
This is must have on this kind of tool and a blocker for any paying subscription

Nos sería muy útil poder personalizar los permisos para cada familiar invitado, de forma que no pudiesen subir nuevas fotografías (solo los padres).
It would be very usefull to be able to customize family permissions, so they can´t upload new photos (only parents).
Hi Lifecake team, you said back in December this feature would be ready within a month, it's been 5 months now. Would you have any news to share on this by any chance?
Don't know when permissions were changed so family could upload content! Don't want them to have this access!
Also would be nice to have an option to have some photos for parents only.
A month passed.... Almost 3 to be precise.
I hope this is almost set up!!!
Has this been done yet as I want to remove some peoples access who were originally invited?
